It is about 1200 miles across straight ocean to Sydney, Australia, the nearest major city in Australia. It is also about 200 miles from Christchurch, Australia. Getting there might take a helicopter.

The Awesome The waterfall plummets 837 feet (255 meters) into the also awesome Baatara Pothole, a cave made of limestone located on the Lebanon Mountain Trail in Lebanon, north of Israel. The limestone is supposedly "Jurassic", but seeing as carbon dating is impossible to date past 40,000 years, that is literally just a random guess that some scientists threw out there.

This waterfall is truly a spectacular sight to see, and there is nothing else like it in the world. It looks like a level from the video game Tomb Raider on the original Playstation. Also known as the "Cave of the Three Bridges", as well as the "Gouffre des Trois Ponts" (French for "Three Bridges Chasm"), it is not difficult to get to, just a five-minute trek from the village of Balaa, which you get to by traveling from Laklouk, Lebanon to Tannourine, Lebanon.

The Awesome Undeniably the number one waterfall on this list, Angel Falls is wildly famous, and for good reason. It is the world's highest waterfall, with a massive plunge of 3,212 feet (979 meters). Out of the 47 drops and cascades that reach the total height, the single longest drop is a spectacular 2,648 feet (807 meters), making up the majority of the height.

This massive cliff face is surrounded by clouds due to its height, and is located at the end of the Gauja River, deep in the heart of the Macizo del Auyán-Tepui Rainforest in Parque Nacional Canaima (Canaima National Park) near the top of South America. Due to its height and remote location, it is not particularly accessible.

It is named after James Angel, who discovered the waterfall in 1933. In Pemon, a local tribal language, it is also known as "Parakupá Vená", meaning "the fall from the highest point"; or "Kerepakupai Vená", which means "waterfall of the deepest place".

  1. 8. guess I missed it on my trip to HI. My daughter visited Victoria Falls about three weeks ago, makes most top falls lists for size.
